We had the pleasure of hosting Melissa and Giulio’s wedding on July 23 2016. The day was nothing short of a dream. By using a warm beige colour palette, Rias Designs did a fantastic job in delivering client satisfaction, while highlighting our ballroom in the loveliest way. We always like seeing gold and champagne hues in our venue, so it is safe to say that we are still swooning over this jaw-droppingly beautiful wedding.
Melissa wore a show stopping, mermaid style dress that featured cream tones and an elegant lace overlay. The gown fit her like a glove and complimented the décor perfectly. Her bridesmaids were dressed in blush, which made Melissa’s dress stand out even more. We fell hard for this gown, especially the cream underlay, as it was both unique and timeless.
Warm tones, embroidered linen, beautiful blooms and floating candles were all a part of transforming the ballroom, and creating a romantic ambience. The floral arrangements were simple and featured pops of pale, cream-coloured roses. Grand, crystal drop candelabras acted as pedestals for these gorgeous white blooms, and were places on each guest table. There was also no shortage of floating candles in the room, which accentuated the romantic colour palette.
The head table set up was one of our favourite elements. We loved how it featured a sweetheart table for the bride and groom and two square tables for the bridal party. Melissa and Giulio’s table featured a floral runner that was dripping in orchids. Each bridal party table consisted of similar blooms and of course, floating candles. The blush backdrop and simply stunning cake did a great job in tying the head table décor, as well as the entire room, together.
To accompany our signature sweet table, Baskin Robbins was in attendance to supply guests with delicious sweet treats. The station was accompanied by an old-school ice cream parlor umbrella, which gave it a traditionally feel.
Melissa and Giulio’s big day was definitely one for the books. From the gorgeous dress, to the romantic colour palette, no detail was overlooked. It was an honour working with such an amazing creative team, and an even greater honour hosting the most perfect couple.
